SQL 2005 install compatibilty on windows 2008 R2

Hi Team,

Needed some help from you. We need to install SQL 2005 on windows 2008 R2. I checked the compatibility matrix for supporting OS for SQL 2005 , however it only mentions till windows 2008 , but not windows 2008 R2.

Can you please help in guiding if SQL 2005 is compatible with windows 2008 R2.
